CARPFISHING-21lb-7oz-Ghostie-brooke-park-lakes-5

I am 14 years of age and have been carp fishing for 3 years.  I have attended 2 out of the three known Junior carp events, the first one being the Tony Parson’s memorial event at the Oxford Linear complex on Brasenose 1 and the second one was the Carp Society's Junior carp camp held at horseshoe lake in May.  I plan to attend the 3rd and final junior event, the Korda Carp Camp next year.

I am currently fishing a private syndicate in Norfolk, which has access to two lakes.  The smaller lake, of around 2 acres, is stocked with the 12 known original carp.  I fished this lake properly last season and managed to have 10 of the 12 known fish, up to 18lb 3oz, which is the biggest that has ever been out.

This season I have moved over to the bigger and harder of the two lakes, this lake is around 6 acres in size and is extremely weedy.  It can be so weedy that there is near zero clear areas and has a stock of roughly 20 original carp.  The current lake record is 29lb 8oz, an original common.  I have only done a few nights on this lake so far, claiming 3 fish, a 13lb 4oz common, a 20lb 6oz common and a 21lb 7oz ghostie.

News in short

Autumn is upon us but the hot weather has been hanging around making for some very pleasant trips to the lake. However cold weather is apparently just around the corner so get yourself ready and make sure you have a quality sleeping system at hand!  The Southend show with Redwood Events has been cancelled but you will see us at the Carp Society show at the end of November.
