Team A.I

   Management Team
Inovators of fishing tackle   Paul Ovenden- Managing Director

Paul joined the company as the Finance Director shortly after the company formed.  As the only member of the team with some business experience, he soon took the lead on business strategy, which to date has steered the company through the latest recession.  Paul is a keen angler but by his own admission a novice in the “Big Carp” world.  He is looking to change that and is on the way with a 24lb Carp from the ‘Pads’ lake.  Paul is currently still serving in the Army and will be leaving soon to concentrate on Ai and catch some fish.

At the moment I am starting on Frimly pit 4, but I have been fishing Frimly pit 3 for the last two seasons.  Pit 4 is my favourate venue to date.  The highlight of Jake's career to date was catching his first forty but he would like to catch a Burghfield Common.  At the moment I’m after Gums from pit 3, but my overall aim is to fish as many different types of waters as I can.

Having over 20 years experience Carp Fishing in various counties including the Colne Valley, such as the Wraysbury’s. I have had a several articles published in Big Carp Magazine over the years and have also joined Dynamite Baits in August 2010. I now also appear in Crafty Carpy answering questions relating to Dynamite Baits, and write features for Total Carp & Advanced Carp Magazines. I’m currently fishing at Nene Valley Syndicate, which is home to some large commons. My personal best mirror was achieved at St Ives Lagoon, last summer after a 3 year campaign with the Fat Lady at 45lb 08oz. Also my Common PB came from the Nene Valley water with a fish called Blindeye, the biggest resident in the lake at a summer weight of 39lb 14oz. I fish once or twice a year in Belgium on the canals and have personal bests of 56lb 04oz Mirror and 58lb 00oz Common, from the notoriously difficult Kempisch Kanaal (KK). I hope to catch one of the very very big lumps in the V Channel, Belgium one day, my biggest being 39lbs from there so far. I will hopefully be returning to the Colne Valley during the summer of 2011 chasing after more big dark lumps!

  UK PB: 58.04lb

I have been fishing for over 20 years.  My most memorable capture was my 1st 30lb common from Averley Lakes when I was 17 years old, that was a good fish back then.   My personal best is Annie 58.04lb from the famous Manor Farm and 11 months after that capture I managed to bank my 2nd UK 50 in the shape of the famous black eye from Chad lakes home pool at 54lb.  My sponsors are Atomic Tackle and Tails Up Baits and now Angling Intelligence.  Despite having my own locksmith company to run, a wife and 3 kids; it just shows that you can catch large English Carp on limited time having the right tools to do the job.  I am currently in pursuit for my 3rd uk 50lb on a non publicity water.  Also I've managed to bank a few other 50s from France commons to 58.02 and mirrors to 54lb

I am 14 years of age and have been carp fishing for 3 years.  I have attended 2 out of the three known Junior carp events, the first one being the Tony Parson’s memorial event at the Oxford Linear complex on Brasenose 1 and the second one was the Carp Society's Junior carp camp held at horseshoe lake in May.  I plan to attend the 3rd and final junior event, the Korda Carp Camp next year.
