True to the original concept of the 2009 model we wanted a rod which was of a high specification that a good caster could propel a lead or bag with and give the average caster the option to optimise his own casting potential. The rod of course had to look the part and be soft enough in the tip to make the ‘fight’ a pleasure and prevent hook pulls. No expensive machines, just ‘live’ experienced carp anglers tested these rods to the limit. The finished article is very user friendly, soft in the top section but with enough backbone to ensure a half competent caster can achieve their distance potential. During testing it significantly outcast more expensive, apparently true long distance rods and exceptionally stood out in the crowd as a great all rounder. We are delighted to have developed the perfect carp rod.
